About the Course

Most people don’t lose jobs because they can’t do the work.

They lose them over lateness, attitude, conflict, and communication. This course teaches those skills from the ground up — so you leave with abilities that work at any job, not just the Clean Team.

It’s for Clean Team members and C4 Impact participants getting ready for outside work. No work experience is needed. We sit in a circle and talk — it’s a conversation, not a lecture — and you’ll get a workbook to follow along.

HonestyEphesians 4:25IntegrityProverbs 10:9RespectPhilippians 2:3

Every session ties back to the C4 Way: Honesty, Integrity, and Respect.

  • Show up on time, ready, with the right attitude
  • Listen well and ask questions instead of guessing
  • Treat customers and their property with respect
  • Stay calm and work out conflict the right way
  • Lead by example — with or without a title

Six Weeks at a Glance

One skill a week. Practiced on the job.

Six weekly sessions, 90 minutes each. Between sessions, you’ll try an On-the-Job Challenge and report back.

Week 1

Showing Up

Professionalism, reliability, work ethic

Your reputation is built before you say a word. Learn why on time means 10 minutes early, and how to call your supervisor the right way when something comes up.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”Colossians 3:23

On-the-Job Challenge: Arrive 10 minutes early to every assignment.

Week 2

Communication That Works

Listening, speaking clearly, asking for help

Most problems at work start as communication problems. Practice listening well, repeating back instructions, and asking for help before a small problem gets big.

“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”James 1:19

On-the-Job Challenge: Repeat back every instruction you get.

Week 3

Customer Service

First impressions, respecting property, handling complaints

On every job site, you are C4 Impact. Learn to greet a customer, treat their property with care, and handle a complaint calmly using the LEARN steps.

“Do to others what you would have them do to you.”Matthew 7:12

On-the-Job Challenge: Greet every customer, and ask “Is there anything else you’d like us to check?”

Week 4

Time Management

Planning, prioritizing, being on time

People who plan their day, do the most important things first, and have a backup plan keep their jobs. Build your night-before routine and your Plan B.

“Look carefully then how you walk… making the best use of the time.”Ephesians 5:15–16

On-the-Job Challenge: Use the Night-Before Checklist before every work day.

Week 5

Conflict Management

Staying calm, working it out, knowing when to escalate

What gets people fired isn’t the disagreement — it’s how they handle it. Learn the STOP method, “I” statements, and when to bring in a supervisor.

“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”Proverbs 15:1

On-the-Job Challenge: Use STOP at least once when you feel frustrated.

Week 6

Leading Where You Stand

Servant leadership, teamwork, feedback

You don’t need a title to lead. Learn to give and receive feedback, write a resume line, and plan your next step. We close with a completion ceremony.

“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”Mark 10:43–45

On-the-Job Challenge: Pick one person on the team to help or encourage.
